fomo family There is no official standalone Fomo APK. The Android app is published on Google Play under the package name family.fomo.app, at version 1.91.0 as of September 6, 2026, with around 220,000 downloads in the trailing month and a rating near 4.74. Fomo's own site links to the store, not to a file. Every "Fomo APK" on a mirror site is a re-upload by someone else, and while many mirrors re-host genuine store builds, a modified build of a self-custodial trading app is the single most efficient way to steal a wallet. Install from Google Play, or use the web app at fomo.family, a full client with the same account. Those are the two routes; there is no third.
Why a trading app is different from any other APK
Sideloading a game from a mirror risks ads and malware. Sideloading a wallet risks the wallet. Fomo's design keeps your private key split between you and secure hardware and gates withdrawals behind FaceID or the device lock; a modified build sits inside that design, sees your screen, your inputs and your sign-in code, and can present a fake withdrawal screen that approves a real one. You would not know until the balance was gone, and support cannot reverse an on-chain transfer. The store's signing and review are not perfect, but they are the only layer you have that a mirror cannot fake from your phone.
Spotting a fake or modified app
- Package name
- Anything other than family.fomo.app is not the app, whatever the icon says.
- Publisher
- The store listing is published by Fomo. A different developer name is a clone.
- Rating count
- The real listing has thousands of ratings (about 1,500 on Play, 6,200 on iOS). A listing with forty is not it.
- Permissions
- A trading app does not need your SMS, contacts or accessibility service. A build that asks is reading something it should not.
- Sign-up
- Fomo signs you in by email code or Apple ID. Any flow asking for a seed phrase is a phishing kit; Fomo has no seed phrase.
- "Mod" or "premium" APKs
- There is nothing to unlock. A "no fees" or "premium" Fomo build is a wallet drainer with a label.
The two real exceptions
If you already sideloaded one
- Do not sign in again on that build.
- From a clean device or the web app, withdraw everything to an external wallet you control.
- Change the password on the email tied to the account and turn on two-factor authentication there; the login is the wallet.
- Uninstall the sideloaded app, install from Google Play, sign in fresh.
