The Fomo app is available in Canada. Canada is not one of the twelve jurisdictions excluded in Fomo's terms of service (revised August 17, 2026), the app is published in the local App Store and Google Play, the web app at fomo.family works with the same sign-in, and Canadian visitors are about 3.7% of the site's traffic. Spot trading works as it does everywhere: sign up with email or Apple ID, fund by card, Apple Pay or USDC, trade memecoins on Solana, Base, BNB Chain, Monad, Ethereum and Robinhood Chain from one USD balance with gas paid, at about 0.50% per swap. Canadian users should note that card funding runs through a US-based payment partner and that Canada's own rules on crypto platforms apply to registered dealers, which Fomo is not.
- Excluded?
- No. Canada is not on the twelve-jurisdiction list
- Spot trading
- Works; six chains, one USD balance, gas paid
- Stock Tokens
- Robinhood decides country access (120+ countries, not the US); memecoins paired with them trade regardless
- Perps
- Not US-restricted; Fomo may require KYC; local derivative rules apply; check in-app
- Funding
- Card / Apple Pay via a payment partner (may ask for ID), or USDC; bank withdrawals not in all regions
- Regulation
- Not registered with any regulator per its terms; self-custodial interface
The checklist for Canadian users
- Regulation. Fomo's terms say it is not registered with or licensed by any regulatory authority. No local investor protection, no ombudsman. That is the status of any self-custody wallet with a DEX, which is what the app is; it is not a licensed local exchange.
- Stock Tokens. Whether Canadian residents can hold Robinhood's tokenized stocks is Robinhood's decision and appears in the app after sign-in. Either way the stock-paired memecoins (Artificial Inu, BONER and the rest) trade normally, because you receive the memecoin, not the stock token.
- Perps. Only US persons are hard-blocked. Fomo's terms allow it to require identity verification before perps, and local rules on retail crypto derivatives vary. What you see after sign-in is the answer.
- Funding. Card and Apple Pay purchases go through a payment partner that may request ID and may carry a spread; USDC avoids both. Bank withdrawals are "not supported in all regions" in Fomo's words; plan to withdraw as USDC.
- Tax. Token-to-token swaps are disposals in most jurisdictions. Fomo issues no tax forms; your wallet address is the record. The guides site covers the export method.

What to ignore
Any "Canada Fomo" mirror site, APK, Telegram group or "local promo code". The app is in the stores and on fomo.family; the only discount is the referral 10%; anyone offering a country-specific version is offering a copy (the APK problem, the impostors). The full eligibility picture, including the twelve excluded jurisdictions and the US split, is on KYC, age and countries.
