Fomo App in the UK: What Works, What Does Not, and What the Terms Say

The short answer is "available, with catches". Britain is not on the banned list and about one visitor in twenty-five to fomo.family is British. But stock tokens are off, the store listing may be hidden, and nothing about the app is FCA-authorised. Here is the checklist before you fund it.

The Fomo app is usable from the UK. The United Kingdom is not one of the twelve jurisdictions excluded in Fomo's terms of service (revised August 17, 2026), UK visitors make up about 4.1% of traffic to fomo.family, and the web app at fomo.family, live since April 29, 2026, works from a British browser with the same email or Apple ID sign-in as the phone app. Three catches apply. Robinhood Stock Tokens, the pairing asset behind the chain's stock-paired memecoins, are documented as unavailable to UK residents. At least one review reports that the App Store and Google Play listings do not appear from a UK-region account, which would make the web app the practical route. And Fomo is not FCA-regulated: its terms say plainly that it is not registered with or licensed by any regulatory authority.

Excluded?
No. The UK is not on the twelve-jurisdiction list
Spot trading
Works; memecoins on six chains from a USD balance
Stock Tokens
Unavailable to UK residents, per Robinhood's documentation cited by Fomo
Perps
Not US-restricted, but KYC may be required and UK retail derivative rules are strict; check in-app
Store listing
Reports of it being hidden in UK stores; web app as fallback
Regulation
Not FCA-authorised; self-custodial interface

The three catches, in order of how much they matter

1. Not FCA-authorised. Fomo's terms: "FOMO is not registered with or licensed by a regulatory authority and does not act as your financial advisor or investment manager." For a UK user that means no FSCS protection, no Financial Ombudsman, and no UK firm accountable for the promotion you read. It is the same status as using any self-custody wallet with a DEX, which is what the app technically is; it is not the same as using a UK-registered exchange. The FCA's full cryptoasset regime is still being phased in (coverage cites a 2027 date for parts of it), so this may change.
2. Stock Tokens are off. Robinhood's tokenized stocks serve 120-plus countries but not the UK, per the documentation Fomo itself references. You can still buy Artificial Inu, BONER and the other stock-paired memecoins on the app, because you receive the memecoin and never hold the stock token; you cannot buy NVDA or TSLA tokens directly. The mechanics are on the guides site's stock-token and Long.xyz pages.
3. The store listing. One review from a UK-region test found the app absent from both stores. We could not reproduce or refute that from here, so treat it as possible: if you do not find the listing, use fomo.family in a browser, which is a full client, not a cut-down one, and do not sideload an APK (why).

Before you fund it from the UK

  1. Read the terms yourself; they are the version that binds you and they changed on August 17.
  2. Decide whether "no FSCS, no ombudsman" is acceptable for the amount. For a memecoin allocation you have written off, it usually is; for savings, it never is.
  3. Plan to withdraw as USDC to a wallet you control; test it once with a small amount.
  4. Ignore any "UK Fomo" mirror, APK or Telegram group promising access. The web app is the access.

The general eligibility picture, including the twelve excluded jurisdictions and the US split, is on KYC, age and countries. Whether the company itself is trustworthy: legit or scam.
